I’ve been a fan of IBM’s Redbooks for, I don’t , maybe as long as I can remember having a need for up-to-date information. That’s long enough to remember when the Redbooks still actually had Red covers. In fact, I’ve been a Redbook fan long enough to remember what a thrill it was when my IBM SE brought them to me back when I was a customer. I always thought I was special because he always brought me the latest Redbooks. Those books were a bigger deal than being taken out to lunch.
The February 2013 product publication updates are now available. There were no updates for DB2 10 or DB2 9 for January 2013. The “almost new” tradition continues with the pub folk publishing documentation updates on a near monthly bases…..
As you all know, DB2 for z/OS Version 8 was discontinued (went out of service) last year way back in April 2012. If you are still using DB2 V8 now is the time to start gathering up product documentation making sure that what you have is the latest and greatest.
DB2 10 and DB2 9 for z/OS Product Publication refreshes for December 2012
The December 2012 product publication updates are now available. It looks like the DB2 Publication’s Team managed to get all of the most popular DB2 product publications (or at least the most popular in my opinion) updated just in time for the Holidays, just days before Christmas. The “almost new” tradition continues with the pub folk publishing documentation updates on an monthly bases…..

DB2 10 and DB2 9 for z/OS Product Publications have been refreshed for October 2012
It appears that October, although not terribly busy for product publication updates, did manage to have a few more than last September did.
DB2 for z/OS product publication updates for September 2012
Today’s post is not going to be that long because there were not that many manuals updated this month. In fact, there was only one DB2 10 pub updated and one DB2 9 pub updated; it also happened to be the same titled publication.
The “Managing Security” pub for both DB2 10 and DB2 9 is the one that was updated.

DB2 10 and DB2 9 Product Publications have been refreshed for August 2012
It looks like publication updates may be coming closer to the end of the month now. August is the 2nd month (or is it the third) month in a row that the updates have appeared at the very end of the month or the during the first few days of the following month. However, they did arrive and that’s what is really important. So the “new” tradition continues with the pub folk publishing documentation updates on an almost monthly bases….. Continue reading »

It was close nce again; we almost made it out of the month of July with no publication updates.
