Hello, it seems that the link for 'Predicate transitive closure for IN list is enhanced for DB2 9' is invalid. I searched for that blog entry as well, but only came up with this blog entry as a result. Would you make it available again?

Thanks!

When Pat talked to me yesterday about doing a guest blog for me about RUNSTATS' HISTOGRAM behavior change, he mentioned that he thought this APAR was important enough to be a HIPER.

Well, today APAR PM27249 was marked as a HIPER (High Impact Pervasive). A HIPER APAR describes a serious problem or a problem that impacts many customers.

This should be even more reason for you to get this applied to your DB2. In fact, as a HIPER, II'm guessing a lot of your will be able to install this fix sooner than later.

Remember, you not only heard about it here first, you heard about it here before it was marked as a HIPER.. (smile)...

Of the tomes that you have produced, the absolute 'must read first' chapters concern your advice re benefits of DB2 upgrades in terms of z/OS and the exploitation of H/W features. This is largely because I see your advice as empirical rather than theoretical or lab-based (although the latter also need representing).

DB2v10 and z/OS 1.11 ought to generate huge interest for managers who are aware of MIPS and costs. This is quite apart from comfortably coping with business/data growth.

Based on your unique approach, I look forward to your papers.
