Yes, you are correct.. DB2 for z/OS Version 8 is now out of service.. in fact it has been out of service since April 30, 2012. (you can check out my “Good-bye post HERE).
However, even though it has gone out of service, the folks at SVL decided to publish one last update to the DB2 for z/OS Version 8 Diagnostics Guide and Reference (LY37-3201).
If having the last edition of the V8 Diagnosis Guide is important to you , you may want to subscribe to APAR PM66146 to make sure you receive your copy (via PTF) when it comes available.
