The TCP/IP keepalive value that is specified via the TCPKPALV DSNZPARM value on the DSN6FAC macro has been a point of confusion, IMHO, forever. When reviewing someone’s DSNZPARMs as part of a health check, I find all sort of things for hits keyword; seldom something that was set up in conjunction with how TCP/IP is set up in on z/OS.
